Michael Eugene DeCuypere was born in Ft. Riley, Kansas on September 25, 1950. He was a long time resident of Hampton, Virginia. He passed away on Monday February 7th, with his beloved wife of 44 years and his daughter by his by side. He worked for the Hampton Sheriff's Department from 1978-1982. He retired from the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel as a supervisor in 1996.
He is survived by his wife Julie DeCuypere and his two children son, Michael G. DeCuypere, MD, PhD and daughter Rebecca Ready. He also was Grandfather to 4 Grandchildren, Megan, Hunter, Kaitlyn, and Warren.
The family will be doing visitation on Thursday, February 17th from 1-3pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home 2551 N. Armistead Ave. in Hampton, VA
