Paul Jay Holbrooks, Sr., 67, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He was born in Oconee, SC and was a resident of Hampton since 1967. Mr. Holbrooks was a self-employed auto mechanic.
Preceding him in rest are his parents, Cleve and Ruby Holbrooks; sister, Idora Smith; and brother, Bill Holbrooks. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Holbrooks; sons, Paul J. Holbrooks, Jr. and wife Billie, John P. Holbrooks and wife Chrysti, Cleve Holbrooks, and Kippy Holbrooks; daughter, Cindy L. Holbrooks; grandchildren, Bryce, Trey, Gavin, and Ryan; and sister, Normen Lexington.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Friday, July 22 at 4:30 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Daniel Bass. The family will receive friends following the service until 6:00 p.m.
