Pauline was a native of Jeff, KY, but she spent 83 years as a resident of Hampton. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, and a longtime member of Bethany United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in rest by her husband, Clinton A. Townsend; son, Larry C. Townsend; three siblings; and her companion, George “Jack” Franzen. Left to cherish her memory are two of her sons: Thomas H. Townsend (Melody) and Frederick A. Townsend (Teri); her daughter, Linda T. Prinkki; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Pauline will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666. Family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Pauline’s name to the charity of your choice.
