Just thinking of you brother. Wishing I could call you, say HI & hear your voice again.  Funny to think of something as simple as a phone call having so much value when it's no longer a possibility.  
I see your picture and it makes my heart ache. But then, I think of so many things we did together and how we could laugh for hours...about ONE topic!  I smile now because I just pictured your face: right eyebrow lifted, crooked grin, both index fingers pointing at me and I can almost hear you saying "Thank you, thank you very much" in your best Elvis voice! I'm sure there's lots of those that knew you, that can envision this as well!

I am deeply saddened by the passing away of my dear friend Ray. I will always cherish the memories of him as a result of our working together as automotive technicians. Surely Ray was one of the best and he helped me lots of times!! Along with that, I am forwarding my sincere condolences to the family and may Ray rest in peace!!!

you were a good man with good intentions, you had the most wonderful dreams of what you wanted to do in the future and talked about them all the time. one day i know you would have accomplished some of them. you were always there to help out someone in a bind, i recall many times we would get a call in the middle of the night and regardless of where it was or raining cats and dogs we would always go right out to help them with their vehicle so they could get safely home. i truly wish life would have turned out different, you had so much potential and love in your heart. i hope your girls know just how much you loved them and always talked about them and their wonderful accomplishments, he was so very proud of them. rest in peace and i know you will finally be pain free.

Ray was a very loving man. I remember the one an only birthday party i had when i turned 16. Raymond throw it for me an he give me my first car i ever had. God I'm going to miss that man. I will always love him

I was saddened to hear we lost another Eagle from our flock but was blessed to have known him.  I will be praying that your soul is welcomed into his warm embrace and for those loved ones and close friends, I will be praying that you find comfort and joy in having known Ray while he was with us during this short time.

Ray and I went to school together, I didn't know him very well, just in passing and probably a class or two.  My condolences to his family.  Fly high Eagle.

Class of 86 FAHS

One of my truest fiends. When I lived in newport news it was like always Me Tony Garrabrant and Alex and Tony T. we would pile in his Camero or alexes ride and do dumb stuff like go and tan in a tan store or listen to ray behind his turn tables for hours DJ Ray baby never forget that. We were so close for so long and I went to Arkansas for a short visit and my Brother totaled my car so I just stayed here instead of returning home to Virginia he wasn't even interested in auto work when we were close so when we reconnect on face book a few years back I could tell by our conversations how awesome of an auto tech he he"d become. Having turned wrenches here for 20 years my self. I will miss him dearly. Real true friends who were always loyal and true without fault are rare and something I had in Ray since 1996. May he find peace in death like the peace that he showed in life. I cant believe He's Gone My BiPolar is going to go crazy manic I bet I dont sleep for 7 days in a row. The last message I sent him ended as always With I Love You Brother. And to Those he left there in Virginia May the worse day you have in the future be no sadder than the Best day of your past.

First, my sympathy and prayers to family and friends of Ray. A couple of months ago, Ray and I were talking and he was planning to visit us here in Tennessee this summer, a visit I sorely will miss. I told him to give me at least a five or ten minute notice so I could clean the house. 
Secondly, a story I have to tell. A couple of years ago I was telling Ray that my motto was 'If you're going to do a job, do it right or don't do it at all", he hesitated and said, "I never thought if it that way, hell, that would save me a lot of work, the part of "or don't do it at all"
You will be miss young man, sorely missed.

Don't and still can't believe your gone brother. It hurts and saddened my heart. I'll never forget all the laughs and good times we shared together. You were like a older brother to me. You took me in when I needed a place to live without blinking your eyes. Boy did we have some good times together. I'll never forget all the laughs we shared together. To me you'll always be the man and the legend. Going to miss you so much brother. But I know your in a better place now.

I, like many others, just found out today of Ray's passing. It was, and is, quite a shock. I will always remember his amazing sense of humor and story telling ability. He always knew how to make people laugh. This world will be that much darker without him in it to cheer everyone up with his crazy sense of humor. RIP, my friend! You will be missed by me the many others whose lives you touched in your own unique way!

Raymond, 
You have left us unexpectedly and entirely too soon. You were a diamond in the rough. The mold was broke after you were born.  Actually, your big melon head broke it   I will miss you immensely, more than you could imagine. I missed you already for the last several years since our encounters had become so infrequent. When we moved back here to VA from Germany, you were more than my big brother, you were my best friend. You were like a brother to my 2 best friends as well. The adjustment to living in the states was tough initially but YOU made it not only bearable, but fun for me. You looked out for all of us and we always knew you had our backs. We shared so many fun times together to where any situation (even a single word) could quickly turn into you and I snickering and cracking up...even inappropriately at times. (Yee Haw)   We loved to watch cartoons, kids movies & comedies together. We would always find a particular line from a movie that would get us laughing uncontrollably. These great memories have always been so dear to my heart.  I would regularly talk about you to Megan and Risa about the things you loved when we are younger. You had such a big heart for people and especially for animals.  Boy were you a sucker for kittens and puppies!    
You were loved by so many for YOU and  especially for your sense of humor. You're endless arsenal of quips always kept everyone laughing.
It's so difficult to find the words to describe what I feel right now. These last few days I've just been going through the motions in a numb state. I only wish I could've been granted an opportunity to say goodbye to you. I know you would tell me that it's all good, no worries. My reply...no fair! 
Surreal is the word that continuously comes to mind.  

I know you are up there with dad, having a cold beverage  and finding humor in us down here for mourning for our loss, I will do my best to keep the laugher going for you both down here. Until we meet again, rest in ultimate peace.

So saddened to hear of your families loss. I have such fond memories of Ray when we lived in Baumholder!! I pray for your family during the difficult time.

Ray I will miss our time together in Germany. FAHS! I will miss going to junkyards with  you! You always found the best junk and then made it new again! I will miss that hole in your lip that dripped, dripped, dripped when you drank a soda. You will not be forgotten. Rest in peace my friend and we shall meet again.

I am so saddened to hear of Ray's passing. He was a really good friend to me for many years. The closest male friend I had by far. He was there for me when I got married and was my shoulder to cry on years later when I got divorced. He was honest and sweet and always said I Love You after every conversation. I always made him laugh and he did the same for me. He always said he wanted to see a NASCAR Race here in Charlotte and wanted me to go with him. Now anyone who knows me, knows I'm not a NASCAR fan, but if I could have him back, I'd go in a second, I'd even buy the tickets. I will truly miss him and our late night talks and messages. My sincere condolences to his family. Go with God, my friend. Like the end of every conversation....I Love You.
