Richard Wayne Dawson, Jr., 64, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012. He was a native and lifelong resident of Hampton. Richard served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 7 years. He then continued his career as a civil servant with Langley AFB and retired after 30 years of service.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wayne Dawson. He is survived by his mother, Rena Dawson and sister, Annette and her husband, Ashton.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a celebration of Richard's life to begin at 2:00 pm. A private entombment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
