Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Gibbs; sister, Mabel Gibbs; and his brother, Bill Adams. He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Eva Mae Gibbs; children, Francis Jones, Roger Gibbs, and Laurie Nalls; and siblings, Bonnie McClain, Macon Gibbs, Clint, Gibbs, James Gibbs, Marcell Gibbs, Odell Gibbs, and Sylvia Gibbs.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1625 Big Bethel Road, in Hampton.
