It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Ronald G. Sears. Ronald, or Ron as his many friends would call him, was born in Newport, Rhode Island on February 17th, 1938, to Mary Nunes and Charles Sears. In his late adolescence, Ron chose to enter into seminary college, with hopes of becoming a Catholic Priest. Those places were soon halted once called upon from his country. Ron then spent twenty years devoted to the United States Air Force. Once retired, Ron found joy in being the life of the party and any silly mischief he could think of. From his dance moves to his ability to make anyone blush with his jokes, Ron brought laughter and unforgettable memories wherever he went. Ron was an animal lover to the fullest. It was frequently commented on how much he spoiled his animals, often caring more about their well being over his own, especially his cats. Ron is proceeded by his five siblings, Charles Sears Jr, Roger Sears, Gary Sears, Phyllis Ruttino, Shirley McKnight, and by one son, Charles Sears. He is survived by his brother Stanley Sears of Rhode Island, his children Ronald Sears Jr. of Hampton Va, Theresa Sears of Hampton Virginia, Christina Sears of Myrtle Beach South Carolina, as well as seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
A private memorial will be held March 22, 2022 at St, Josephs Church in Hampton Va. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that all donations be made towards the Cat Corner in Hampton, Va.
