Shirley Mae Cox

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Faye Yates. Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 49 years, Gene Harold Cox, Sr.; her brother, Sidney Wayne Woodcock, Sr. and wife, Dorinda Woodcock; son, Gene Harold Cox, Jr. and fiancée, Nancy Shaffer; daughter, Melinda Mae Wren and husband, Richard Otis Wren, Jr. In addition, she has five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Shirley enjoyed many different crafts, but above all else she loved her family deeply and devoted her life to them.

Family and friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Sunday, July 2, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am, Monday, July 3, 2017 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue with interment to follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
