He was born March 3, 1954, in Bristol Tennessee, to the late Paul Edmund and Peggy Nell Worley.
Stan proudly served in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic from 1972-1977. After the Air Force he joined Newport News Shipbuilding where in 2020 he became a Master Shipbuilder after working 40 years and retired December 1, 2020. He worked in the Nuclear Quality Division for his entire career.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Selena Jean (William) Worley and Leha Ann (Greg) Worley and granddaughter, Emorie Ann Benner. Also surviving: brothers, Paul Edmund (Susan) Worley Jr, Mark Wayne (Kristy) Worley, John Daniel (Heather) Worley and Timothy Dean (Jennifer) Worley and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Friday, July 23, 2021 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Parklawn Memorial Park. A celebration of life, with honors rendered by the U.S. Air Force, will follow at 5:00 PM in the chapel with Chaplain Walter Satchell officiating. An inurnment will be privately held at a later date.
