Mrs. Grant was a special woman and friend. I met Mrs.Grant while a student at Hampton University (1993-1997). We maintained a friendship that I am very grateful for. She was a kind spirited person who made me smile often when I returned to visit HU. My condolences go out to her family and to all that worked with her at the Harvey library. She will be missed!

Stella was a wonderful woman. I was blessed to have worked with her and her late husband, Jason Grant III, during the 1980's. Stella was always  a professional and was held in the highest esteem by co-workers and library patrons alike. She was an encourager and held herself and others to the highest standards. My deepest sympathy to her family whom she loved so dearly.

Stella and I went to Sweet Union Baptist Church   and graduated from Lucy Addison high school together.  We both attended Fisk University and were Facebook friends.  I am deeply saddened by her passing. My sincere sympathy to her family and friends.  I will miss her deeply.

I was blessed to have known Mrs. Stella Grant for most of my life.  We lived on the same street and attended the same church in Roanoke. Later at Hampton University when I was a student and then a faculty member, she was that friendly face and support I needed. I am grateful for being able to get to know Mrs. Grant and to call her my friend.  I am comforted in the knowledge that there are other people who felt and remember her amazing influence. I can't help but smile on the inside when I think about the legacy she is leaving behind.  Think about all the generations that have been and will be blessed by the life she lived.
