Stephen Woolson

He was preceded in death by his dogs; Sampson, D.O.G., and Bandit; his parents, Ferdinand (Duke) and Jean Woolson; his uncles, Maurice (Winston) Balderson and Gayle Balderson; his cousin, Derrick Balderson; and brother-in-law, Larry Clausen. He is survived by his sister, Ellen Morris; his cousins, Kerrie Tiller, Angela Stacy, Kevin Balderson, and Kathleen Bladerson; his aunt, Karen Balderson; his nieces, Jennifer Proctor and Kristen Leggitt; his second cousins, “Gage” and Sean Tiller, Alyssa Suber, Ava and Faith Balderson, Bridgette and Mr. and Mrs. Brett Balderson; several nieces and nephews, and his friends, who are like family.

He was a long-time member of Community Presbyterian Church and the Hampton Moose Lodge Organization. Steve was a very active young man, pitching for several baseball teams. He was a member of the Cub and Boy Scouts, a church youth group, and even took piano lessons. He attended Fishburne Military School and graduated from Kecoughtan High School, class of 1975.

He spent most of his adult life working as a Machinist for the Schrums and Craft family. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, camping, riding motorcycles, cards, pool (where he played in several leagues), reading, watching old movies, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Fundraiser will be held in the back room of the Hampton Moose Lodge, 207 E. Mercury Blvd. Hampton, Va. 23669, on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 5:00 PM. There will also be a graveside service at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Ave. Hampton, VA. 23666 on September 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM. We invite friends and family to speak at this service.
