Thai Thi Lam, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Hampton, Virginia. She was a devoted wife, mother of eight children, and beloved by many grand and great-grandchildren.
Thai was born July 2, 1921 in Ha Dong, Vietnam. She was a homemaker before arriving in the United States in 1975, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Ching and Phat Nguyen, and two granddaughters, Ming and Holly. She enjoyed gardening, crabbing with her children, and cooking Vietnamese dishes. Her children and their families reside in various states across the U.S., and united over holidays, summers, and celebrations. Many memories were created with her as our matriarch and cherished center of our family. She was blessed to live a long and healthy life and will forever be remembered.
A service celebrating Thai's life will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 5:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the conclusion of the service.
