He was founder and owner of Watson's Petroleum Equipment Service, Inc. in Hampton.
Survived by his wife Helen E. Watson; children, Thomas E. Watson, Jr. (Robin), Glenda Ann Watson, Tricia Watson Merson (Glenn); step-children, David James Kirkley, Jessica Elaine Kirkley; grandchildren, Jackie Renee Davis, Linda Marie Neuse, Amy Lynn Watson, Adelina Jewel Newman, Madyson Olyvia Merson, Kalli Paige Kirkley and a great grandson, Jackson Kenneth Davis. Sisters, Ann Stephenson, Myrna Alderman, Shirley Hardee; brothers, Darrell Watson and Billy Watson.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Sunday, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, Hampton where a memorial service will be held 11:00am Monday with inurnment in Parklawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Hampton.
