Verner O. Moorefield, 72, died on Monday, March 29, 2010 in Virginia Beach. He was a lifelong resident of Hampton, and was owner of Hampton Iron Works. Pee-Wee is preceded in death by his parents, Clayton O. and Matilda Hill Moorefield.
He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Schaffer and Michele Winston; a son, Verner O “Chip” Moorefield; four grandchildren, Casey, Samantha, Taylor and Charley; three sisters, Catherine Lawson, Jacklyn Clair and Johanna Moore, and a brother, Clayton Q. Moorefield.
Arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave. in Hampton, 23666.
