

Yoshie Seki Buckholts, 80, of Grafton, VA, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011. She was born on January 9, 1931 in Nogano, Japan. She was the daughter of the late Nami and Kinjiro Seki of Japan. She was the oldest of four siblings, and graduated from high school in Japan. On December 15, 1958, she married Willie C. Buckholts (Buck). She was a devoted homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
Yoshie was preceded in death by her husband, Willie C. (Buck) Buckholts; her parents, Nami and Kinjiro Seki; sister, Maruko Nakajima; and brother, Toru Seki.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Angela (Buckholts) and David Miller; grandchildren, Mariah, Brittany, and Jasmine Miller all of Conway, Arkansas and Michael Mailey; sister, Yoneko Kanda; sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene Smith, Kathleen and Forrest Preston, Harold and Nita Buckholts, J.F. Buckholts, Jimmy and Ursula Buckholts, Joel and Anne Buckholts, Wade Buckholts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 16 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Yoshie's life will be held on Monday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
