

Angel Renteria Casarez age 86, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 in Visalia, CA. He was born in Hanford, CA on November 6, 1929 to Rosario and Josephina Casarez. Angel's siblings include deceased brothers; Raymond, John, Manuel and sisters; Rosario Casarez, Josephina Madrid and Chala Dominguez. Angel is survived by a brother; Oscar Casarez and sister; Julia Adney.
Angel is also survived by his children; Olivia Guzman (Rudy), Bill Casarez (Margaret), Steven Casarez (Debbie), Alfred Casarez (Theresa) and Carmen Casarez Shepherd (Slade) and Anthony Casarez. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Rosie, Jack, Gracie, Christopher, Melissa Casarez and Nicholas and Celena Ramos with a great-grandson; Rauston R. Ramos. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Angel understood the importance of education and impressed that upon all of his children so much so that he even re-enrolled in school as an adult to demonstrate this. Angel was a long time business owner-operator of A.R. Casarez Trucking, hauling various agriculture products from fields to packing houses and grain elevators. He was usually the lone trucker hauling the local region's once famous Muscat grapes to the Turano packing house located on 5th street. He also was one of many truckers hauling fruit to the Federal Fruit packing house in Armona. Angel was also a successful farm labor contractor for many years.
Angel loved to talk about various subjects, was well versed in western history and developed quite the curiosity for chemistry. Later in life, to keep busy, Angel used to grow and sell tomatoes from his home on Excelsior Ave. He was a lifelong Catholic. Angel will be dearly missed.
A Rosary Service & Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church; 1000 N. Douty Street, Hanford, with Burial following at Calvary Cemetery; 11680 S. 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230.
