Catalina "Cathy" Potter

Catalina “Cathy” Potter was born in National City, Ca to Fred and Beatrice Garcia. She passed peacefully at her home in Hanford, CA.

Cathy graduated from El Capitan High School in 1962. She married James “Jim” Potter in 1964. She was a proud Navy wife for 51 years, a housewife and loving mother. Cathy loved to travel, do her favorite crafts, cook and visit her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by; her Father Fred Garcia, Mother Beatrice Garcia, brothers Frank Cota, Richard Aripez, Henry Aripez, Fred Galvan, Sister Eleanor Vaughn and Granddaughter Rebekka Potter. Survived by her loving husband James Potter of Hanford, CA, Son James Potter Jr. and wife Katrina of Bakersfield, CA and Grandson Jared Potter of Camp Lejeune NC, Daughter Dianna Romero husband Frank and children Joel and Mikaela of Bakersfield, CA, her brothers Tony Aripez of GA, Mike Aripez of CA, and John Galvan of Ca.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 13th, 2015 at Bakersfield First Church of the Nazarene at 2801 Hughes Lane, Bakersfield, CA, 93304 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to your local Ronald McDonald Home.
