David was born to Jack and Evelyn Leal on May 11, 1955 in Hanford, California. David went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Hanford, California. David lived with his brother Charles.
David and Charles both proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps. David attended Hanford High School. Later David went on to attend San Diego City College, where he studied photography, and American Business College where he studied architecture. Because of his love for design he went on to have a career in Construction building homes for a few years. While he was at school, his instructor was also his supervisor, and he became a great influence on David’s interest for construction. Sometime later David also worked for the IRS office in Fresno. David was fond of trying new things whenever possible; this led him to take a truck driving course in Fresno, where he attained his commercial truck driver’s license.
David had many passions in life. A few included his love of American History, especially the Civil War and President Abraham Lincoln. He was always watching documentaries that covered these topics. He adored the outdoors. He studied birds and nature, which took him on many outdoor adventures exploring God’s creations. He was always at peace when he got the chance to go fishing with friends. He truly enjoyed traveling, music and art. He was excited about learning about things that interested him.
Most family and friends that knew him all commented that he was one of the kindest and most caring persons they’d ever met. It was not uncommon for him to make sacrifices of himself for the benefit of others.
David will be truly missed by all those whose lives he touched…
