

David Orin Noland peacefully passed away on March 2, 2026 in Fresno, California at the age of 78 years old. On November 15, 1947 David was born to Egbert “Hap” & Fleda Noland in Hanford, California.
David had fond memories of growing up in the Grangeville area of Hanford, where he attended Pioneer School & Hanford High School, graduating in 1965. David married Diana Ruch in 1968 & they moved to the Bay area where David started his career as an Electrician. The family moved back to Hanford in 1978. David & Diana bought property very close to where he grew up. They built their home, raised their kids & continued to live there until their passing. David was very hard-working, played farmer on the weekend keeping up with 5 acres of walnuts, volunteered to coach soccer, & help out with 4-H projects. He served as a Pioneer School board member for many years. He retired in 2004 after 36 years as an electrician, but decided to drive truck for a few years before officially retiring.
David enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids & grandkids, watching NASCAR races, spending time with friends at the Elks Lodge & traveling with the Kings Kampers RV club.
David was preceded in death by his wife Diana Noland, parents, Egbert “Hap” Noland and Fleda Noland, his siblings Kay Sagaser, Marlene Rice, Hattie Mae King, Jim Noland and his grandson Joshua Jakubowski.
He is survived by his daughter Shelly Jakubowski and Eric of Peachtree City, GA, son Jeff Noland and Michele of Clovis, son Russell Noland & Gabriela of Fresno, his brother Ken Noland and Patricia of Hanford, sister Sarah Johnson & Wayne of Corvallis, OR, sister Paula Wright & Doug of Los Osos & Grandchildren Madison, Andrew, Justin, Zolín, Jacob and Pilar as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 11:00 at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N Douty St., Hanford, followed by a lunch reception across the street at the Elks Lodge.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation be made to your favorite charity in his name.
