

Doris was predeceased by her parents, Elston and Belle, her husband, Bud, her brother Joe and her brother Ron. She is survived by her two sister-in-laws, Nancy and Wanda, her two children, Steve and wife Estrella and Katherine and her husband David, her 2 grandchildren, Melissa and husband Corey and Eric and his wife Michelle, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Doris was born in Visalia, CA where as a child she moved to Hanford, CA. She graduated from Hanford High School where both her daughter and grandchildren graduated. She moved around California due to Bud's transfers with DMV. Eventually she moved back to Hanford to help take care of her mother.
Doris was passionate about her relationship with Jesus. She loved helping Bud with adult Sunday School. She also helped Katherine set up a Christian widows' support group in Hanford called Widow's Might, where approximately 15 women attended twice a month in Katherine's home. She loved singing in church choirs and loved the old familiar gospel songs.
Doris worked in schools helping special needs children for many years in different cities. She was loved by many of her students and co-workers. At Hanford High School she ran her own classroom where children would come to her for much needed help in academics. The last job she held was working in the DMV in Los Gatos.
Doris will be missed greatly by her family, church and friends. She was loved by many.
Her graveside service will take place at the Grangeville Cemetery on May 27th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
