She was born in South Dakota on May 30, 1923 to Louie and Kate Schutte. She is survived by one sister, Marianne Love. One brother and 5 sisters have preceded her in death. She was raised in Empire, California until her marriage to Quentin Curtis Cripe on July 18, 1943. Dorothy was blessed with 5 children. Linda, Karen, Jerry, Lisa and Mark. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed singing at home and at church. Spent many years as a Sunday School teacher. One of the highlights of her life was being chosen Queen for a Day on TV. For many years she was a foster parent to babies.
She will be greatly missed.
