

Janelle was born on September 17, 1942, in Memphis Tennessee to mother Amanda Lucille Turner and father Eunice Herbert Turner.
Janelle was a beloved mother and grandmother; she loved spending time with her family. Additionally, she spent many years of her life working at Valley Christian Home in Hanford, where she assisted other with compassion and kindness.
Janelle had a deep love for reading. Whether it was mystery, romance, or history, she found endless joy within the pages of a good book. No matter where she went, she never traveled without a well-loved paperback by her side. Playing board games and cards brought her immense joy. More than winning, she cherished the laughter around the table, the sense of community, and the lasting memories created with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Laura Kataoka (husband Bob), son Charly Rissmiller (wife Karen), son Gary Rissmiller (wife Melissa), and sister Ann Pollock (husband Jim). She is also survived by her four grandchildren Shayna Keith, Andrea Broaddus, David Repsher, and Kylie Rissmiller, and seven great grandchildren Autum Halsey, Joshua Halsey, Hayden Keeney, Lily Miller, Avery Keith, Owen Keith, and Kai Repsher.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Vernon, father Eunice Turner, mother Amanda Turner, and great granddaughter Amelia Keith.
A private celebration of life will be held in July with her family and close friends. At her request her remains will be taken to Washington where she spent many years of her life.
