

On March 17th, 1955, Eddie Ray Cosby was born in Berkeley, California to the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie and Agatha Cosby. Eddie Ray Cosby passed away on January 15, 2024 in Visalia, California at the age of 68.
Eddie was the middle child of five children: Robert, Linda, Jennifer, and Janet.
Eddie graduated Castlemont High School in Oakland, California in 1973. He served in the United States Navy for over 25 years, starting in 1975, when he became an Aviation Electrician. Eddie worked at AT&T for 17 and a half years before returning to the United States Navy. Eddie was a member of American Legion and Free Masons.
In his younger years, Eddie became a Licensed Cosmetologist and Barber; he continued to use his gift for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He attended West Hills College and passed the Police Officer training. He went to Bay City Bible College in Oakland, California. Eddie won many awards during his military career. Eddie was also big on education.
During his childhood, Eddie enjoyed sports, swimming, bike riding, gymnastics, and spending time at The Boys and Girls Club. He competed in martial arts and body building circuits. Eddie gave his life to the Lord at an early age. He was an Ordained Minister, he co-pastored at Hickam Chapel in Hawaii, with Chaplain Grandison, and he also co-pastored with Chaplain Quesniberry and Chaplain Ford at the Aliamanu Military Chapel in Aliamanu Reservation Housing (AMR) Honolulu, Hawaii. He did men's bible studies, and phone ministry. Eddie loved spending time with family and friends.
Eddie's memory continues through his wife, Larona Cosby, his children: Da'Shaun, Aisha (Dan), Jemar, Kendall (Tacea), and Soynia and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and grandnephews and nieces; cousins and Aunts as well as Uncles, his sister-in-law, and brothers-in-law. His brother Robert August, Sisters Linda Green, Jennifer Eurby and Janet Reams.
He is preceded in death by his Mother Agatha Davis Cosby and Father Eddie Cosby; oldest son Dreamius Cosby. Brother-in-Law Eddie Eurby. He's also preceded in death by his Father-in-Law Herman Mathieu Sr., Brother-in-Law Herman Mathieu Jr., and his Mother-in-Law Iona Jones Mathieu.
