Edith Lillian Allred Wells

Edith was born in Bearville, Arkansas to Mack and Mattibell Allred. She came to the San Joaquin Valley as a young woman in the late 1930's. She attended cosmetology school in the Valley and began her career working out of her home and in the Modern Beauty Shop for over fifty years and she enjoyed the friends she made through her profession. Edith married Roy Wells in Southern California and they made their home in Hanford. Edith loved to share stories of her life and loved to entertain. She raised beautiful roses and orange trees in her yard. Edith was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hanford.

Roy preceded her in death in 1988 and her son, Dale preceded her in death in 1995.

Edith leaves to cherish her memory her niece and her "rock", Virginia Johnson of Hanford and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Remembrances may be made to Valley Children's Hospital of Madera, California.
