Hector Gutierrez Gomez Sr.

Hector was born to Juan and Paula Gutierrez Gomez on October 14, 1947 in Lagos De Moreno, Jalisco, Mexico. Hector passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Adventist Medical Center in Hanford, California. Hector was a resident of Hanford, California for the last 12 years. He worked for the State of California for 22 years. Hector married his love of his life, Maria on April 12, 1975 at the Little Flower Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Some of Hector’s life’s passions were building small engines, welding, carpentry, working with electrical, heating and air, auto mechanics and gardening. Hector was an all around handy-man; he really enjoyed trouble shooting any challenge life presented him. He was fond of baseball and boxing. Some of Hector’s favorite places to visit were the mountains and deserts. Hector truly loved being with his family any chance he could. He will always be remembered and never forgotten!

Hector is preceded in death by his parent; Juan and Paula Gomez. Hector is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years; Maria Gomez of Hanford, California. Hector also leaves behind his two loving children; Hector Gomez, Jr. and Erica Gomez both of Hanford, California. He leaves behind his four precious grandchildren; Sierra Jonathan Gomez, Nicholas Aiden Sotelo, Annalina Macedo and Christopher Donez all of Hanford, California. Hector is also survived by his three brothers; Umberto & Evelyn Gomez of Redlands, California, Mario Gomez and Juan Gomez both of Jalisco, Mexico.

A Rosary and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591.
