

Henry Clay Hightower was born November 8, 1956 at the Avenal District Hospital in Avenal California to Clay and Mary Hightower. He was the youngest of 5 children. He passed away on December 8, 2014 in Avenal California at home with his family around him.
Henry's family were avid hunters, fishermen and all around outdoors men. He spent half of his childhood roaming the hills and mountains above Coalinga and in the Sierra's near Summit Camp. This love of the outdoors would be shared with his wife Susan and passed down to his children Sierra and Joseph. Henry was a tournament Bass Fisherman, winning many trophies and friends. He loved prospecting for gold and gems with friends and family. He also enjoyed RVing and 4 Wheeling the latter both in his beloved "Big Orange" and on ATV's. He loved his horses and raised and trained paint horses for 32 years. He taught his family how to do all these things and more. Henry was very proud of Joseph and Sierra as they grew and blossomed into young adults with many accomplishments of their own.
Henry drove truck, long haul for 8 years before he went to work as a heavy equipment operator which was what he loved to do. Playing in the dirt with big boy toys. He did this until his health forced retirement in 2004.
Henry was preceded in death by his father Clay and mother Mary, sister Lou and Betty and brother Wes.
He is survived by his wife Susan, his daughter Sierra, son Joseph and sister Barbara.
