Jerrita Kay McClain

Jerrita McClain was born on March 28, 1976 to Rita and Charles Brown in Owensboro, Kentucky at Davis County Hospital.

Jerrita is the first of five siblings; McArthur (Mick) Willis, Venus A. Willis, Alexandria (Ellie) H. Brown, Charles (Boomer) A. Brown V.

Jerrita was blessed to have God Parents; Ricky and Treasa Taylor. She loved her extended family, her church, The Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, Ms. Vanessa Lee, Otto Lee and Simone Lee.

Jerrita was born and raised in the state of Kentucky until the age of 2 and moved to Lemoore, CA with her parents during her father's military career.

Jerrita completed her elementary and high school education in Lemoore area school district and graduated from Lemoore High in 1994.

Her hobbies included; floral design, listening to music, watching movies, reading books and traveling with family.

Jerrita received her religious training under the pastorage of Rev. James Smith at the Newlight Baptist Church located in Hanford, CA. She received Christ at the age of 12 and was an active choir member under the pastorage of her mother, Pastor Rita C. Brown at the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.

Jerrita leaves behind her two beloved daughters; Kaylee and Destiny McClain, her parents; Charles and Rita Brown, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties, cousins and an host of dear relatives and friends. She touched many lives, leaving her legacy of sharing her love and always giving us that warm and beautiful smile. She shall be greatly missed by all she touched.

A Visitation was held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and a Funeral Service on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. all at People's Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591. Burial took place at Lemoore Cemetery; 1441 N. Lemoore Avenue, Lemoore, CA 93245.
