

Jimmie was educated in Los Angeles, CA. He loved Driving so much he became a big rig driver for many years, until he lost his sight. He joined Second Baptist Church in Hanford, California where he accepted he call of the lord to become a "Street Preacher."
He was not afraid to share God's word to anyone. He gave Christian pamphlets, Bibles, water and money to those in need on the streets. He had a calling to the prison; he went once a month. He did that calling until his eyes and health began to weaken, he was tired. The Lord called him home on Sunday July 27th, 2025, at 2:10 am and he answered the call.
He received numerous awards and accolades during his lifetime: National Fellowship of Evangelical Chaplains and Volunteers, Hanford NAACP Unit10396, Man of the Year Award City of Hanford Black History Month, 2005 Community Service Award, Membership of the Salvation Army Advisory Board Award.
He leaves behind a wife, three children, one stepdaughter, five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and a host of great, great, great grandchildren and one great, great, great, grandchild.
He loved the word of God, one of his favorite scriptures Proverbs 3: 5, 6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path."
