In between helping on the farm and being a wife and mother, Johanna enjoyed gardening in her yard, sewing, knitting and cooking. She also participated in organizations including The Gideon’s Auxiliary, The Salvation Army, Farm Bureau Women, and the Hanford Christian School Mother’s Club.
Johanna is survived by son Roger and his wife Cheryl Hakker, also a daughter Diana Maciel. Grandchildren include Jennifer Dunn (Tom), Michelle Mendes (Mark), Simon Craig Hakker (Sara), Melissa Beauchamp (Ben), and Rein Hakker (Tara).
