John is survived by his mother Benigna Castaneda, his siblings Mary, Robert, Willy, Rudy, Caroline, Connie, Danny, and Belinda, his children, Breanna, Jesus (JJ), Jonathan and Amber, the mother of his children Geneva, his son and daughter in laws Edgar, Abbigayl, Kelsea, and Brandon, and his grandchildren, Alexander, Marisol, Alfredo, Jaeden, Izayah, Nevaeh, Levi, and Brixley.
John was born October 22, 1966, to Jose Jesus and Benigna Castaneda. He was raised in the small town of Laton where he graduated high school. In Laton is where he also met the mother of his children, Geneva. Together they had 3 children. After their separation Geneva had another daughter that John loved and supported and took her into his heart as his own.
John was a devoted father and a diehard Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Daisy. He looked forward to the days he could sit and watch the packer games with his family but especially with his sons. No matter how his team played he was there to watch every minute of the season. In his words, “Win, Loose, or Tie, Packers till I Die!” Well dad you held up to that. John also loved to BBQ and just spend quality time with his children, son in law, daughter in laws, and grandchildren. At the time of his death John was working for GUSS Automation with his sons. He loved his new job and talked about it often. He was very grateful to be working for GUSS. He also had a girlfriend who he loved dearly.
John was very funny. Weather it was mocking funny movie quotes or telling jokes he always had a way of making people smile and laugh. Being from a small community, John was well known and loved.
He was truly a humble and great person all the way around. His family will miss him deeply but are blessed to know that they will have an awesome Packer fan guardian angel watching over them.
