She, her father Jesse Cunningham and her 4 siblings: Jewell, Mary, Paul, and John then moved to Empire, California. They then settled in Eureka.
At age 19 while visiting her sister Mary, she met and married Tom Baker in Hanford, California where she resided until 2011 when she moved to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico to be with her daughters Diane and Cathy.
She is survived by her 4 children: Mary Diane, Sandy, Tommy, and Cathy. 9 Grandchildren: Amy, Ollie, Kevin, Steven, Amanda, Marissa, Marcelino, Colett and Buddy. 4 Great Grandchildren: Jayce, Kaylen, Cheyenne and Jonah +1 on the way.
Marie loved going for drives, being in nature, watching wild animals and birds. Time spent with those she loved was special for her.
Cooking and eating all types of food were a joy. Going out to Chinese Food was special for her.
She was so kind, grateful and loving, laughed easily and we enjoyed spending time with her.
Ready and willing to have new experiences, with her daughter Diane, she traveled to new places, went for walks, did rebounding, watched game shows, and did word search puzzles.
Marie left to be with Jesus at the age of 88. If she were here, she would give you all a big smile and a hug.
