She was born March 21, 1953 and raised by her loving parents, Mary and Ernie Hill. Marilyn graduated from Hanford High School and later married and raised her children in Hanford. Marilyn was a loving mother of 4 kids, grandmother to 5 grandkids, and a friend to many.
After raising her children, Marilyn went back to school and received her Certified Professional Coder certificate and finished out her remaining working years as a Medical Coder for Family HealthCare Network. Outside of work, Marilyn loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and was always ready for an adventure. Whether it was a day trip to her favorite spots at the coast, fine dining, watching a good movie, or going for a drive to nowhere; she was ready to go.
Marilyn loved to cook and made sure there was always plenty of food for everyone. She loved gift giving and made sure her loved ones received gifts for most holidays and birthdays. She loved gardening, charcoal drawing, and decorating for the holidays. She loved to cheer on her favorite sports teams and enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby. She had a bit of a lead foot and loved to share stories of near misses with law enforcement for her accelerated speeds.
Marilyn’s family will miss her laughter and ability to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She is survived in death by her children (Justin Brock, Jennifer Thomas (Brock), Corey Brock, Richard Brock (Amanda Brock), her grandkids (Sarah Brock, Joshua Brock, Madison Thomas, Brylee Hunter, and Cheyenne Brock).
A private celebration of life will be held at a future date for her immediate family.
