

Marilyn was born in Hanford, California on February 13, 1951 to Gerald Henry and Patricia Verlin Schumacher. She attended Armona Elementary and graduated from Hanford High School in 1969. Marilyn attended College of Sequoias in Visalia and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design Summa Cum Laude from Fresno State University in 1974. Marilyn worked for an environmental technology company and trained horses full time. She was an avid horse rider that loved taking trail rides to the coast and national parks with her friends. Marilyn loved working on her ranch in Hanford, caring for her horses, and raising her two sons. All who met Marilyn loved her energetic personality and her way with animals.
Her loving parents, Gerald and Patricia Schumacher, preceded Marilyn in death.
Marilyn leaves her two sons, Jed Irwin and wife, Tracy of Fresno and Travis Irwin and wife, Alaina and three grand children, Caiden, Troy and Trevor; her sisters, Marjorie Eldevik and husband, Jarle of Lake Arrowhead, CA, Susan Kennedy and husband, Jerry of Hanford and her twin sister, Janet Adams and husband Bruce of Kingsburg; and many friends.
Marilyn was laid to rest at Grangeville Cemetery next to her parents.
