Mark Sullivan Lugo, 58 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at his home with his family at his side. He was welcomed into his new home in Heaven! Mark was born to Richard & Angie Lugo on January 22, 1956 in Visalia, California. Mark was raised in Visalia before moving to Los Angeles where he worked as a truck driver. Mark married his first wife and together they had their children. Later he moved back to the valley and married his love of his life; Darlene Galloway of Hanford. He also changed his life and became a member of Last Days Ministries in Lemoore, California where he also served in many areas of ministry. He was a good servant of God.
Mark was a man who lived his life many ways and had many experiences throughout his life. His love for his family and friends was most important to him after his love for Jesus Christ. Mark was an outgoing person who enjoyed Harley Davidsons, good food and a great time with family and friends, just to name a few. His family and friends were lucky to have experienced these things with him, but his greatest joy was sharing his love for the Lord with everyone and anyone. He loved his encounters with everyone to no limits. Mark was always helping and doing great generous acts of kindness; like donating food, clothing, money and especially talking and praying with anyone who was in need of his help, whether big or small. Many were blessed to have him witness to them. He was proud of reaching out to those who needed help the most.
One of Mark’s favorite things to cook and eat was white bread & Best Foods Mayonnaise folded in half and toasted on the stove, just really hit the spot at any time, day or night!
Another one of Mark’s life’s passions was hit’n the road and taking long rides on his Harley. This is where he would go to find himself, when he felt lost or unhappy. He would find inner peace and solace reflecting with God. He would say you were less likely to catch bugs in your teeth, if you were in the presence of the Lord. He cherished reading the Bible and having a good one on one with Jesus.
We will all remember our good times we had with Mark, he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. His memories will forever be in our hearts and he will live with us eternally making us smile. We will reminisce of all the good times we all shared with him, his family and friends will never forget his laughter and good will. He knew if we fell we needed to get back up.
Mark is survived by his loving wife; Darlene Galloway, his mother; Angie, Richard, Tony Serna and Frank and his children and many relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591.
