Mary Paramo Solorio

Mary was born to Ascencion and Juana Chavez Paramo on March 8, 1926 in Lemoore, California. Mary has been a native and resident of Lemoore, California all of her life. Mary passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Adventist Medical Center in Hanford, California. She was a Homemaker all her life for 64 years.

Mary was one of 14 children. She was the last one living of the 14. She attended Lemoore Elementary and Lemoore High Schools. She was a loving and devoted mother to her family. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lemoore, California. She was a wonderful cook and an awesome tamale maker. She was very energetic and active all her life. She was very witty and funny– always coming up with clever sayings and responses. She was a terrific singer and always sang when she was in a good mood – which was most of the time. She spent her whole life devoted caring for her special needs son, Roy until her passing. They shared a very unique bond with each other. She loved the color red!

She was preceded in death by her parents; Ascencion & Juana Paramo, husband; Ysidro Solorio, sister; Lupie Paramo and her brothers; Joe, Pete, Louie, Manuel, Isador and Albert Paramo. She is survived by her loving children; Roy Solorio, Eleanor and husband, Genaro Guerrero, Alfred Solorio and Rosemary Solorio all of Hanford, California. She leaves behind her beautiful grandchildren; Ysidra Solorio, Danielle Solorio, Jess Solorio, Alfred Solorio, Jr., Anthony Leon and Cassandra Leon all of Hanford, California. She has 2 precious great-grandchildren and 1 on the way! She also leaves behind her wonderful nieces and nephews; Stella Legarretta, Elsie Paramo, Rosie Contreras, Lily Sanchez, Mary Ellen Zepeda, Manuel Paramo, Jr., Joey Paramo, Stevie Paramo, Cindy Vidauri, Rachel Barragan and Robert Paramo.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church; 870 N.
