Mary Sue "Susie" Baldwin

Mary Sue Baldwin of Hanford, Ca. passed away peacefully on January 18, 2014. Mary Sue Wheeling was born February 2, 1932 in San Diego. Susie was one of three children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marjorie and her former husband Howard Baldwin.

Susie is survived by Robert Smith her loving companion of 24 years, Walter Manny Wheeling her brother, Carol Wheeling sister-in-law, Steven Hixon her son, daughter-in-law Catrina Hixon, granddaughter Grace Hixon and brother-in-law Ansel Watrous and two nieces Mary White and Laurel Farrar.

Susie grew up in Chula Vista. She married Howard Baldwin in 1959. They lived in Chula Vista then moved to Pine Valley until Howard’s passing. Susie then connected with Bob Smith. They spent their time together in Hanford, Ca.

Mary Sue was exceptionally kind. She gave to others and appreciated style. Even on her last day she was reading Vogue. Susie was fashionable and always looked the part. She’ll be remembered for her fun and crazy personality.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, February 7, 2014 at 2 pm at Glen Abbey Memorial Park 3838 Bonita Rd. Bonita CA 91902. In lieu of flowers, please feed a hummingbird, Susie would like that.
