Matthew Caleb Flores

Matthew was born to Luis Flores, Jr. and Laura Stephanie (Murrietta) Flores on July 29, 1991 in Hanford, California. Matthew went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2013 in Hanford, California. Matthew was raised in Coalinga all of his life until moving to Hanford recently. Matthew was raised with his 3 brothers, two older brothers; Evan & Moses Flores and one younger; Jacob Flores. While growing up he was very involved in T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Little League, Football and Wrestling. He truly loved sports. He was an avid Raider’s fan! Matthew graduated from Coalinga High School in 2009. He was very good friends while growing up with Johnny Alvarez and Eric Okafor. Throughout his life he was especially close to his uncle and mentor; Anthony Higuera. Matthew’s life’s passions included; dancing, listening to music, writing poetry, singing and mostly helping others. He appreciated the opportunity to serve his community by being a member of “Imaginarium” Dance Studio in Coalinga as an Assistant Dance Coach. His most recent job was his position at Little Cesar’s Pizza in Hanford, California. He also was a devoted Christian having attended Chapel Grace in Coalinga and Amazing Grace Christian Fellowship in Lemoore.

Matthew is survived by his loving parents; Luis Flores, Jr. of Hanford and Laura Flores of Coalinga, California. He also leaves behind his dear brothers; Evan (Monae) Flores of Coalinga, Moses Flores of San Jose and Jacob Flores of Coalinga, California. Matthew’s nieces and nephew; Aubrey, Emma and Evan Flores, II will truly miss him too! Matthew will always be cherished by his paternal grandparents; Luis, Sr. & Angie Flores of Coalinga, his maternal grandmother; Rebecca Murrietta of Coalinga and his maternal grandfather; Oscar Murrietta of Sonora, California. He will also be missed by his two great-grandmothers; Francisca Flores of El Centro and Lydia Vidaurri Carrillo of Hanford, California.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. all at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 with Burial to follow at Hanford Cemetery; 10500 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-3937.
