Melvin Evans, age 87 entered into rest on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Melvin was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Marguerite Jones and George Evans.

Melvin is survived by his son Melvin Keith Evans; his son Michael Ray Evans; his daughter Marlys Lynn Chacon; and his son Mandel Lee Evans; his brother Bruce Evans, his sister Gayna Rowe and his sister Angela McLemore. Mr. Evans is also survived by 7 wonderful grandchildren.

Melvin was preceded in death by his father George Evans and his mother Marguerite Jones.

A Funeral Service for Melvin will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at People's Funeral Chapel, 501 North Douty Street, Hanford, California 93230. Following the funeral service will be a Graveside Service at 2:00 p.m. at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 E Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, California 93203.
