

Mr. Gamble was born on July 2, 1939 to Opie and Myrtle Gamble in Lone Star, Missouri. He was a long time resident of Laton and graduated from Laton High School class of 1957. After high school he served in the Armed Forces and retired from United Grocers/Fleming Foods after 33 years. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church for many years and in his later years attended Hanford First Baptist Church. He loved to laugh and tell stories from his childhood. In his younger years he was a Laton volunteer fireman and pee wee league coach. He enjoyed going to his grandsons’ ball games, and he always said he had the prettiest granddaughters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Antoinette Gamble; 2 sons, Steve Gamble and wife Marilyn of Kingsburg, Matthew Gamble and wife Amy of Hanford; 1 daughter, Staci Stockton and husband Ron of Kingsburg; 1 sister, Kay DuVall of Russellville, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A FUNERAL SERVICE is set for MORRIS J. GAMBLE on Thursday, March 9th at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church; 9125 13 ½ Ave, Hanford, CA followed by Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery; 19811 S. Cedar Ave, Laton, CA with US Army Military Funeral Honors.
