Roberta was born on March 17th, 2024 to Rogelio Rossel Sr and Connie Makil Rossel in Santa Maria, California with her being the third to last born out of sixteen children. Roberta was raised in Lemoore, California and attended the local schools. She grew up with many siblings and loved her big family. She was always the fun loving aunt, always cracking jokes and teasing her siblings. She absolutely loved all her nieces and nephews and couldn’t wait to become a mother. She then met her husband Jesus Torres and they spent 15 years together and had two beautiful boys Giovanni and Tristan Torres. They made a home in Laton, California where she enjoyed her time with her husband, children, and family.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to the coast and spending time with her mother and family. She loved to sing and enjoyed karaoke night. Roberta was also an amazing artist and spent many days making wood cutouts for her babies. Everything she did for them was a true reflection of the love she had for them. She adored her babies and even while battling cancer she worried about them.
She was an amazing wife and mother. She held on to her faith and never gave up hope. She truly was an inspiration to everyone. Roberta always had an open door and made everyone feel welcomed. She loved life, and enjoyed all it had to offer.
Roberta will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her mother Connie Makil Rossel, siblings Reynaldo Rossel, Ruben Rossel, Ray Rossel, Ralphie Martinez, Rosana Rossel, Rosalinda Rossel, Roselva Castillo, Salvador Rossel, and many nephews and nieces.
Roberta is preceded in death by her father Rogelio Rossel Sr. and siblings, Roy Rossel, Rolando Rossel, Raul Rossel, Rogelio Rossel, George Mora, Rigoberto Rossel, and Juanita Rossel Howard, nephews Isaac Donez, Ray Rossel Jr., Raven Rossel, Sergio Espinoza, nieces April Rossel, Roxanne Rossel, Susanna Espinoza-Martinez, Rosalena Rossel, and Rebecca Rossel.
