

Rudolfo “Rudy” Nunez was born in Los Angeles on July 16, 1933 and left this earth on October 25, 2016 in Hanford. He had made Hanford his home since meeting the love of his life, Pauline, in 1954. Rudy was a veteran of the Korean War and was active in the Knights of Columbus for many years. He worked for the County of Kings Road Department for over 30 years before retiring in 1994. Rudy enjoyed family barbecues and when he was able, enjoyed meeting his friends for breakfast at Chubby’s on Tuesday mornings.
He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline, sister, MaryLou, and brother, Robert.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by his son, Robert Nunez of Tehachapi, daughters, Margaret (Jim) Weesner and Lillie (Pete) Morrell of Bakersfield, five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and his brother Dan of Rancho Cucamonga. He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces.
A Service in Celebration of his Life will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at People’s Funeral Chapel at 1:15 pm. He will be laid to rest at the Bakersfield National Cemetery at 1:15 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
