On July 4, 2024 Whitney Davis 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her daughters. Whitney was born 04/14/1945 in El Centro, California. Her parents Joe and Rowena moved to Venezuela where she spent her early years before returning to Modesto, California. Whitney attended Thomas Downey High school and Modesto Junior College. After College Whitney married and moved to Japan, where she discovered her passion for teaching. She later earned a degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Hawaii. The family settled in Lemoore, California where she gained many friends.
Whitney worked in various educational roles, including as a teacher's aide, preschool director and at Kings County Regional Occupation. She was deeply involved in her daughters' lives, serving as a brownie/girl scout troop leader and participating in school activities. She also served as an ombudsperson for the Navy.
An avid quilter, Whitney created quilts for family, friends, and local children in need. She also enjoyed volunteering at Valley Animal Haven and Kings Pregnancy Center.
Whitney's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her warm heart and special family meals. She delighted in dancing and sharing beautiful sunsets with loved ones. She was always one to let you know when a full moon was out too. No matter how busy she was, her door was always open.
At 60 life changes lead her to her deep faith. She was baptized and started to not only attend bible studies but teach them too. She would pray for and with you and was the cornerstone to the entire family. She was the first to forgive and would teach that in her walk daily. Her faith never wavered and even until the last months she would be reading a daily devotional.
Whitney is survived by her daughters Renee Loewen and Stacey Jones, grandchildren Corey Loewen, Angelika Loewen, and Kalob Jones, great-grandchild Liam Loewen, sons-in-law Steve Loewen and Kevin Jones, and granddaughter-in-law Shannon Loewen. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Rowena Alexander and sister Lynn Alexander. She leaves behind other loved family members and great friends.

A final personal note from Whitney: "When I die, don't linger at my grave. Spend time with your loved ones and remember the fun times we all had together."
