

Alan Ian Phillips, age 54, passed away suddenly at his home in Halifax on Saturday February 28th, 2026. Alan was born on August 5th, 1971, in Liverpool, UK to Geoffrey and Mary (Lindsay) Phillips. He graduated from Raynes Park High School in 1987. During his time in high school he was a member of the RAF Cadets. After high school he followed the family tradition of joining the military and he served in the Blues and Royals regiment of the British Army, part of the Household Calvary, from 1987 until 1994.
In 1995 he emigrated to the US with his former wife Ann (Kerrigan) Phillips where they made their home in Pembroke with their 3 children, Samantha Phillips, Sean Phillips and Alanna Phillips. When his children were younger, he was well known within the Pembroke Youth Soccer Organization and was at times the Coach or Assistant Coach for his kids teams.
Once settled in America he attended Quincy College and in 1998 graduated with an Associate Degree in Computer Science. In 2012 he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology from the Colorado Technology University. He went on to work in Cyber Security and most recently worked as a Director of Product Management for Lookout in Boston.
Alan loved reading and also had a lifelong passion for Warhammer which started when he was a young boy. Throughout his life he perfected his painting skills and would spend his evenings painting intricate models/armies and strategically planning for his next tabletop battle. He loved nothing better than being surrounded by friends, sharing laughter, stories, and karaoke.
Survived by his former wife Ann Phillips, and their children Samantha, Sean and Alanna Phillips, his mum Mary (Phillips) Evans and her husband Sam (Stephen), his girlfriend Alyssa Cook, and his extended family around the world. He was preceded in death by his father Geoff Phillips and his baby sister Samantha Phillips. He will be greatly missed by everyone.
A service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday March 7th, 2026 at Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan Street, Hanson, Massachusetts 02341. Visitation from 12-3, with a short service at 3pm. There will be a gathering afterwards at 4pm at the Happy Dragon, 327 Plymouth St, Halifax, MA 02338.
