Andrew Wellington Owen

Andrew Wellington Owen, 58, passed on January 29th at home surrounded by his family and dearest friends and faithful dog, Lucca in Hanover, MA. Beloved husband and soul mate of Sandie Homer Owen, devoted father of Kimberly Baldwin Owen and the late Jennifer L. Owen. Loving son of Thomas and Joan Owen of Rindge, NH, brother of Ken and wife Mary Gasdia of Whitman, MA, Steve and wife, Jane Regan of Bow, N.H., Wayne and wife Donna James of Duxbury, MA and Carolyn and husband, Joe Reardon of Sandwich, MA. Andy was a devoted uncle to 13 nieces and nephews, dear friend of Nathan Malloy of Weymouth, MA and mentor to many, including inner city youth from Year Up. Andy always said he had the best job in the world as Sales Manager at Mortgage Master Inc. in Hanover, MA. He truly loved his family, friends, and his team at MMI, best folks on the planet, and his customers. He truly believed that you never work a day if you love what you do. Andy believed that his success in sales was inspired by winning a State Championship in basketball playing for the 1972 Rockland Bull Dogs basketball team. He maintained a lifelong relationship with his coaches and team and they are family. He will miss you all. Andy will be missed by many and his family is thankful to all that visited his last few days and shared such wonderful stories of his life with them. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., in Hanover on Saturday, February 2nd from 10AM-1PM, followed by a memorial service of celebration from 1PM-2PM. A private burial service will be held on his beloved Nantucket Island at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andy's memory may be made to Rockland Educational Foundation, P.O.
