Barbara Ann Lynch

Barbara was born on February 4, 1950, in Quincy, MA to parents Anna and George McEachern. She graduated from Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing in 1971 and was married to Richard Lynch (divorced) of Dorchester September 1972. Barbara moved from Quincy to Halifax in 1977 into her longtime home and place of her final passing. She loved living on the lake and enjoyed many activities which included fishing, swimming, gardening, boating and cooking. She spent much of her time caring for family, friends and neighbors that were sick, injured, or recovering. Often, her generosity extended to her own self detriment. She found true happiness in helping all those around her and spent countless hours doing so. She was also an exceptional artist. She enjoyed painting and hand drawing everything from people to flowers with incredible realism. She loved spending hours doing crafts and sharing her artistic skills with her granddaughter.

Barbara is survived by her son Richard, granddaughter Anna, sister Marion and Georgina, brother George and her partner Corey. Barbara will be deeply missed by family friends and anyone else that knew her.

Visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St, at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in Hanson on Monday, August 9th at 12 noon followed by a service in the funeral home at 1 PM. After the service there will be a reception at The Lakeside Villa located at 550 Monponsett St. in Halifax. We hope all family and friends will join us in celebrating Barbara’s life.
