C. Patrick Cannon

C. Patrick Cannon, 79 of Rockland passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 after a long illness. The son of the late Cyril and Ella (Burns) Cannon, he was born in Hallock MN on June 30, 1935. He was educated at both the University of Minnesota and Mankato State University. Pat served in the US Army. Before retiring Patrick had been employed as an Accountant. He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, model building, coin collecting, traveling, reading about history and classical music. Patrick was a former 20 year member of the Rockland Lions Club and had once served as President. He was a communicant at Holy Family Church and was active with the Olancho Aide Foundation. He was the devoted husband of 55 years of M. Toni (Juhnke) Cannon, loving father of Sharon L. Cannon of CA, Jeffrey P. Cannon and his wife Cheryl of Sandwich and James D. Cannon and his wife Janet of GA. Cherished grandfather of Andrew and his wife Amy of NH and Liam of Sandwich. Brother of Donna Hoops of MN, Thomas Cannon and his wife Kathy of TX, Colleen Cannon of CA and the late Dale and Gerald Cannon. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St in ROCKLAND on Friday from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St in Rockland. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Olancho Aide Foundation of Honduras, c/o Holy Family Church or to the St. Vincent dePaul Society, both can be mailed to 403 Union St, Rockland MA 02370.
