

Edward J. Stafford, 88 of Pembroke passed away after a long illness Monday June 2, 2014. The son of the late Herbert and Florence Stafford, he was born in Boston on June 20, 1925. Edward proudly served in the Marines during WWII and later was the owner and operator of H.L. Stafford Motor Transportation. Edward was a member of the American Legion in Hanson. He is survived by his wife Dorothy M. (Reilly) Stafford, 3 daughters, Kathleen Pylant and her husband James of Plymouth, Dorothy Lorusso and her husband Steven of Pembroke and Diane Nadeau and her husband Gerard of North Easton. He is survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and his dear friend, Jim and Donna Aducci. He was the brother of the late Leo Stafford. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St, at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St, Rte 14 in Hanson. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charity Guild Inc., 501 Main Street, Brockton MA 02301.
