Florence A. Ainsworth Bennett

Florence A. Ainsworth Bennett, 100, of Duxbury formerly of East Dennis, died Tuesday, October 15, 2002 in the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. The daughter of the late John and Mary Moran Ainsworth. She was born in Philadelphia PA on August 13, 1902. Mrs. Bennett was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and later moved to East Dennis with her husband, the late Rev. E. Lansing Bennett, pastor of the former East Dennis Community Church in Quivet Neck East Dennis. Mrs. Bennett moved to Duxbury 5 years ago. Wife of the late Rev. Elbert Lansing Bennett, she was the mother of the late Dr. Lansing H. Bennett and the late Robert A. Bennett. She is survived by 8 grandchildren, Holly B. Morris of Duxbury, Susan St. Clair Bennett of Woodstock NY, Mark A. Bennett of Tivoli NY, Andrew H. Bennett of Nantucket, Constance E. Bennett of Rowayton CT, Robin B. Osborne of East Thetford VT, Victoria Bennett of Norwalk and John A. Bennett. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren. Graveside Service on Friday, October 25, 2002 at 12 noon, at the Quivet Neck Cemetery on South Street in East Dennis. Visiting hours omitted. Arrangements by the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551.
