Harold W. Nelson

Harold W. Nelson, 92 of Bridgewater, passed away on February 28, 2023. He was born on February 23, 1931 in Weymouth, son of the late Sten and Sylvia (Long) Nelson. He lived in the Weymouth-Hingham area until moving to Abington where he resided for many years and in the recent years, moved to Bridgewater. He was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a tin knocker for HVAC his entire life. Harold was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and cribbage.

Harold was the devoted husband of Virginia A. (Prescott) Nelson of Bridgewater. Loving father of Teresa Mullen and her husband Mike of Hanson, Erik Nelson and his wife Janet of TN, and Kurt Nelson and his wife Denise of Berkley. Proud grandfather of Michael and Meghan Mullen, Alyse Nelson, Connor and Paige Nelson, as well as great-grandfather of Sylvia Mullen. Dear brother of Gordon Nelson of Cotuit, Ann (Nelson) Hiltz of East Bridgewater and the late Dick, Earle and Norman Nelson. Harold also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St. Cor. Rte. 14 & 58, Hanson, on Thursday, March 9th from 4-7pm. Burial will take place at Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth, on Friday, March, 10th at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans.
