Helen Sullivan Fanning

Mrs. Helen Sullivan Fanning, 82 of Hanover formerly of Quincy died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at the Norwell Knoll Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. The daughter of the late Jeremiah and Rachel Sullivan, she was born in Boston on May 29, 1927. Helen was dedicated to her family and faith. A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she cared for her late husband, Joseph Fanning for many years during his illness. She is survived by 5 sons, Joseph and his wife Bernadette of Brunswick, ME, Robert and his wife Kathleen of Pembroke, Paul and his wife Kathleen of Hanover, Gerard and his wife Joyce of Rockland and Mark and his wife Maria of Norwell. Great-grandmother of the late Ethan, Helen was also survived by 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in HANOVER on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment in Pill Hill Cemetery in Quincy.
